There are times when you find an eyelash growth product which looks so promising that you are ready to pull out your credit card, that is, until you discover just how much it costs.
This was certainly the case when I discovered this product called AQ Lash. And in this AQ Lash review, I’ll share with you my findings.
AQ Lash Review, What’s AQ Lash?
AQ Lash is being touted as a safe, all-natural and effective treatment serum in promoting eyelash growth.
It does not contain harmful substances such as prostaglandins and their derivatives which may cause darkening of the eyelids and changes in eye color.
This is also one of those eyelash growth treatment serums which are supplied with disposable applicators which would allow for sanitary application of the product.
On inspection of the ingredients list, AQ Lash is not really all-natural, but it does contain herbal extracts and patented substances which work in combination to promote eyelash growth and conditioning.
Foremost among them is the Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media.
Fibroblasts are cells that promote maintenance of the structural integrity of connective tissues including hair by secreting fibers and ground substance.
Thus, these cells not only promote lash growth, they also strengthen the eyelashes.
Working in partnership with this fibroblast media is Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1.
Among the natural ingredients are extracts from two types of honeysuckle flowers, namely Lonicera Caprifolium and Lonicera Japonica.
Rounding up the ingredients list are conditioning substances Panthenol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, and Water (Aqua).
How to use AQ Lash
To use AQ Lash, you must first wash your face and remove all makeup. Dry your face thoroughly. Take one applicator and put a drop on it.
Using sweeping strokes, apply the product to the roots of both your upper and lower eyelashes two to three times.
Start from the inner corner of the eye going to the outer corner.
If you also have problems with your eyebrows, you can also apply the product to your brows.
However, always start with your eyelashes first. Make sure that you discard the applicator after use.
It took some digging to find out how long it would take to see results.
Of the testimonials that I was able to find, the consensus is that one may see changes in the eyelashes as soon as 2 weeks up to 1 month.
If you compare it with other natural products, this is already a pretty fast result.
Upon watching some of the video testimonials, thankfully, there were no side effects mentioned, including the more common complaint of stinging sensations on application.
There was another testimonial from a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy who found that the product helped her to maintain the lashes that she already has and enabled them to grow longer.
This lady reportedly will continue to use AQ Lash after she finishes with her treatments.
However, the biggest drawback to AQ Lash is its price. At $135, it is way too expensive for people on a meager budget.
Because of this, AQ Lash can only be recommended to those who have more serious eyelash problems that would require medical intervention with prostaglandin derivatives or those whose lash deficiencies are caused by other conditions such as the chemotherapy in cancer.
