Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve always had a problem with my eyelashes.

They are certainly not long and lush like the other girls in class or the ladies in the office I work at. Instead, they are short and stubby, around half a centimeter. Unless you look closely at my face, you wouldn’t even notice that I had any lashes at all.

An aunt noticed my flaws and recommended that I try out this eyelash growth product called ElastiLash. Truth to tell, prior to hearing about ElastiLash, I was planning to give Idol Lash a try. But since it was my aunt who recommended it, I figured I’d try out her choice product first.

Where To Guy Elastilash

Admittedly, I was dismayed to discover that I could not buy ElastiLash in my favorite beauty shops OR online. In fact, the only way that I could buy tohe product is by getting a prescription from a physician. Thankfully, when I told my aunt this fact, she was kind enough to set me up with an appointment with her phthalmologist, who not only checked out my lashes, but also agreed that I am a good candidate for ElastiLash.

When I finally had the product in hand—at close to $40 plus the doctor’s fee, it was very expensive—I found myself being curious. I wondered if the reason why ElastiLash required a prescription is because it contains bimatoprost, hydroquinone and similar drugs that may change my eye color and cause other side effects.

But as I checked the ingredients list, there are no drugs at all. The ingredients are Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17, Hydroxyethylcellulose, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caphlyl Glycol, Disodium EDTA Sodium Borate, Boric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Tropolone, Glycerin and Water. There really is nothing that I could see that would warrant the product’s being sold only with a doctor’s prescription.

How to Use ElatiLash

According the manufacturer’s instructions, to achieve the best results, you need to apply a large amount of the product along the base of your upper eyelashes every night. This is different to what other products say wherein you should only apply a very thin line. With ElastiLash, one dip of the wand into the product is already sufficient for both eyelashes. Clinical studies on the product claim that you can see noticeable changes in your lashes at the 6th week of regular use. In my opinion, six weeks seems like a very long time, especially if you want to see changes fast.

elastilash reviewDespite my apprehensions, I did use ElastiLash on a regular basis. The manufacturer was right in that the product does work very slow. Even after 6 weeks, I did not develop the longer, lush lashes that were promised. To think that this was a prescription product, I really had high hopes for it. To my disappointment, my lashes only grew a millimeter or two from when I started using it.

You are still welcome to try ElastiLash, if you have the time or the patience to get an appointment with your doctor just to get a prescription. There are reviews from ladies who have said that the product worked for them. As for me, I am moving on to Idol Lash.

Idol Lash is still The Best!

CBS, one of the biggest TV network in the United States has this to say about Idol Lash – Girls really like Eyelash Growth Products instead of messy eye lash extensions and other products. The mess of having to deal with adhesives and false lashes every day goes away when you switch to an lash growth product.
