The cosmetics industry being such a highly competitive field, it is not surprising that you have newbie beauty product manufacturers competing with the big names for the hard earned dollars of buyers in retail sites like Amazon, Ebay and Alibaba.

Because harsh environmental factors and a rigorous beauty regimen has been wreaking its toll on eyelashes of women worldwide, manufacturers are scrambling to come up with THE product that will help restore lashes to their natural beauty. A good example of a product that was recently introduced in the cosmetics market is Epione Lash Therapy.

What is Epione Lash Therapy – A Review

In its ads and infomercials, Epione Lash Therapy has been touted as a “simple yet effective” way of getting longer, thicker, and fuller eyelashes in just a matter of weeks, how long exactly is not clearly stated.

For those who are looking for all natural products, you might be a little disappointed with Epione Lash Therapy. However, a closer look at the ingredients list does not reveal potential irritants, such as parabens, prostaglandin derivatives, and phenoxyethanol.

The product does not contain peptides which promote greater follicle growth. These peptides include Tripeptide 3, myristoyl hexapeptide-16, hexapeptide 11, and myristoyl pentapeptide-17. The few natural ingredients are panax ginseng root extract, silk amino acids, and Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract. Listed nutrients include sorbitol, glycine, alanine, Panthenol, acetyl tyrosine, threonine, arginine, lysine, hydrolyzed soy protein, glutamic acid, proline, sodium hyaluronate, glycerin, and biotin. Rounding up the ingredients list are Water, butylene glycol, hydroxyethylcellulose, Copper Ferment, calcium pantothenate, hydrolyzed keratin, Collagen polypeptides, sodium pca, triacetin, caprylhydroxamic acid, trehalose, betaine, serine, caprylyl glycol, urea, EDTA, and zinc gluconate.

How To Use and Proper Application

Before applying Epione Lash Therapy, the manufacturer advises washing the hands and face thoroughly with soap and water. Use makeup cleansers to remove all cosmetics and then wash with soap and water. Dry your face very well. Take the applicator brush and swipe a single stroke of the product on the roots of your upper eyelashes. You can use the product in the mornings and evenings. However, do not use Epione Lash Therapy on the lower eyelashes in order to prevent the possibility of eye irritation. In case, redness or other signs of irritation do develop, immediately flush out the eyes with warm water and discontinue use of the product.

Early reviews of this product proved to be very promising. Many who have tried out Epione Lash Therapy reported an increase in the number of their lashes, especially in those who have thin or sparse eyelashes. New lashes grew longer and thicker and are not prone to falling out and breaking.

While Epione Lash Therapy may seem too good to be true, there are a few downsides to this product. First and foremost among them is its price. With its price tag, the product is still pretty steep for budget-conscious consumers to afford. There was one reviewer who reported that results can be seen within 60 days; that is still a long time when you compare it to other products that can produce results within 2 weeks. Yet another reviewer is very critical of the fact that the manufacturer has reportedly omitted mentioning that the product can cause discoloration of the eyelids, which is an important side effect to consider.

As promising as Epione Lash Therapy may seem, I think it is a grave error on the manufacturer’s part to withhold information. I’d much rather stick with a tried and proven product like Idol Lash which will not discolor my eyelids and make me look like a raccoon.
