Over the past few years, the cosmetics market has been practically flooded with eyelash growth products, so that women are often bewildered on which product could be the one that would best meet their needs.

More often than not, with the sheer number of such products available, it becomes a tedious process of trial and error, which would mean a drain in the wallet with every product that is tried out.

However, we have made it easier for everyone to weed out their choices by providing reviews on the various eyelash growth products that are available. A good example of a product that has been recently introduced is Lamas Lash Masque.

Lamas Lash Masque Review

Manufactured by Peter Lamas, Lamas Lash Masque is being touted as an eyelash builder, which fortifies and protects the lashes while giving it a darker tint and sufficient conditioning.

Upon closer reading of the product ad, you will see that the manufacturer DOES NOT specifically state that it will promote eyelash growth.

It is rather disappointing that the manufacturer does not provide a complete ingredients list for Lamas Lash Masque on Amazon.

For the complete list, I ended up checking out the official Peter Lamas website.

Of the ingredients that have been mentioned, you have natural extracts. Among them are oat protein for the strengthening of the lashes, and Exotic Plantago Lanceolata Leaf , Chicory and Walnut Shell for darkening the lashes.

Other natural ingredients include

  • Certified Organic Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Flower Extract, and
  • Certified Organic Symphytum Officinale Leaf Extract,
  • Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, and
  • Certified Organic Spirulina Platensis Extract.

It also contains Panthenol which repairs damaged eyelash follicles, Vitamin A to improve eyelash moisture and shine, Biotin to improve (but not promote) eyelash growth and thickness.

Rounding up the ingredients are

  • Water (Aqua),
  • PVP,
  • Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol,
  • Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein/PVP Crosspolymer,
  • Retinyl Palmitate,
  • Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E),
  • Caprylyl Glycol,
  • Diglycerin,
  • Phenyl Trimethicone,
  • Ethylhexylglycerin,
  • Polyquaternium-28,
  • Carbomer,
  • Isostearyl Alcohol,
  • Hexylene Glycol,
  • Certified Organic Alcohol Denat*,
  • Aminomethyl Propanol,
  • Triethoxycaprylylsilane,
  • Disodium EDTA,
  • Phenoxyethanol,
  • Potassium Sorbate, and
  • Iron Oxides (CI 77499).

Hlamas lash masqueow to Use Lamas Lash Masque

To use Lamas Lash Masque, you apply the product directly on the eyelashes starting from root to tip. You can use it as a base for your mascara or as a mascara itself.

But, the question that begs to be asked is this: What is Lamas Lash Masque? Even women who are using the product are not sure what to call it.

Obviously, given its style of application and the common comments that the product makes their eyelashes “look longer”, most of the users have dubbed it as a “mascara”. One reviewer even went so far as to lambast the product as being a mascara which made her lashes stiff and leaves flakes on the lash strands.

Perhaps the more accurate description for the product would be that it is an eyelash tinter and conditioner, given that the herbal extracts make the lashes darker in color while fortifying and strengthening them against harsh environmental factors. This makes Lamas Lash Masque ideal for women with thinning or gray eyelashes.

However, if you are thinking of buying the product for eyelash growth, you will be very disappointed.
