In recent decades, the “all-natural” craze has reached an all-time high. Because of the long-term side effects that have been found in chemical compounds that are used in cosmetics, women are now more interested in purchasing products that contain mostly, if not completely, of natural ingredients. But do these “all-natural” products work just as effectively as those that contain drugs and chemicals? Let us see if the “all-natural” eyelash growth product RenewLash will pass our critique.
What is RenewLash?
RenewLash is being marketed by its manufacturer as an eyelash growth enhancer for both men and women. Unlike other eyelash growth products, it does not offer additional improvements, such as making the lashes thicker, stronger and fuller. However, the presence of peptides in the product can offer these additional benefits. It is unfortunate that the manufacturer did not spare the extra expense of having RenewLash clinically tested in order to determine its effectiveness and safety and how soon one can see results.
The ingredients list of RenewLash shows two peptides—Palmitoyl Oligopeptide and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7—as its active components. Among its natural ingredients are Camellia Sinensis, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Horsetail Extract, Nettle Extract, and Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Gel. Rounding up the ingredients list of chemical compounds are Sodium Hyaluronate Moisturizer, Mineral Oil, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Glycerin, Apigenin, Methionine, Cyclopentasiloxane, Biotin, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Tocopherol Acetate, Retinal Palmitate (Vitamin A), Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Triethanolamine, Sodium EDTA, and Water.
How to Use RenewLash?
Application of RenewLash is the same as the liquid eyeliner you regularly use. Dip the supplied wand in the tube and swipe it lightly at the base of your upper eyelashes. I do not recommend applying RenewLash to the lower lashes to prevent the product from getting into the eyes, thus causing eye irritation. Limit use of RenewLash to every evening before going to bed.
The question that begs to be asked is: Does RenewLash work? Not surprisingly, customer testimonials from RenewLash distributor sites are all praises for the product without giving pertinent information. However, reviews from Amazon and other major retail sites are very disheartening. Most have expressed disappointment in the product, with no changes noted even after they have consumed the whole tube. Some did see changes, but between 8 and 12 weeks of use. In others, the changes were not permanent. After discontinuing use, their lashes went back to their original state. Perhaps the biggest drawback of RenewLash is its price., it is too expensive for a product that produces mixed results.
While there is no harm in trying out this product, especially considering that it contains natural ingredients, you should be prepared to spend more and lose big. There are other products out there that are “all-natural” but produce great results in just 2 to 4 weeks of daily application. Check out other eyelash growth products for a better alternative to RenewLash. My personal pick would be Idol Lash because you can see changes in your eyelashes in 2 weeks.
